Lichen sclerosis et atrophicus (LSA) is a chronic inflamma- tory lichenoid disease of the skin and mucous membranes that can lead to fibrosis, scarring, and resultant loss of function.1 LSA is classified into stages, ranging from single asymptomatic plaques to extensive scarring, fissures, and stenosis. Advanced stages are associated with an increased risk of developing squamous cell carcinom.
