Official Opening of New LA&HA Portugal Training Centre

The Laser and Health Academy (LA&HA), in collaboration with Fotona, distributor Lasermaq, and Dr. Fernando Duarte, is proud to announce the official opening of the new LA&HA Portugal Training Centre at the state-of-the-art Clitrofa Clinic.
The launch event brought together dental professionals from Portugal and Spain, representatives from SPPED and ANEMD, academic institutions, and other invited guests. Highlights included inspiring speeches by Dr. Fernando Duarte, Prof. Giovanni Olivi (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome), Dr. Pedro Ferraz (LA Clinica, Aveiro), who introduced the LA&HA Dental Master Program, and Marta Monteiro from Lasermaq.
The new Training Centre is led by Dr. Fernando Duarte, a respected laser expert and specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, with two PhDs and extensive training from LA&HA and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. The centre is dedicated to providing world-class dental education, including hands-on laser training and advanced courses with top laser experts, with the first clinical workshops planned for Q4 2025.
The Clitrofa Clinic features two fully equipped surgical rooms as well as several treatment rooms with advanced laser systems—including the LightWalker, SkyPulse Multi 3, and Dynamis—supporting a wide range of treatments in dentistry, gynecology, and aesthetics/dermatology.
